Ngeh Ntahti
Details:
Ngeh Glory would like to be a Teacher. She lives with her two brothers and three cousins and her aunt in a broken small two-room house. His very ill father is living with the grandfather. Glory’s aunt is the caretaker of the household. Being a widow, her sole income comes from subsistent farming, which is grossly insufficient to take care of the household.

Kanjo Nyah
Details:
Kanjo has been orphaned by HIV / Aids. Nyah looks healthy, but suffers occasionally from malaria which she receives treatment through the help of the Aunt.
Presently she is attending Primary Education.
Nyah and her sister Blessing lost both parents the same year 2004. Since then, they lived with their 77 year old grand mother until when her health became increasing poor, they moved to Mama Patience, an Aunt’s house who stays alone with three of her own children. Patience now with 5 children, lives on subsistence agriculture to take care of the family she has inherited. Her very meager income is grossly insufficient to take care of the educational, health and livelihood needs of the household. Patience is a subsistent farmer who had been separated from her retired husband. Highly desperate situation, which needs assistance for schooling, medical care and nutrition.
Bamboh Randolf
Details:
Randolf looks healthy, but suffers occasionally from malaria and nose bleeding. He understands and speaks very little English. Desires to be a Motor Mechanic.
Randof lives with his grand mother and brother Desmond Nformi in their grand father’s two-room house. His elder brother dropped out of school after the father’s death to look after the mother who too died three years after in 2005. With the health of their grand mother deteriorating, the future of Randof and his brother is very uncertain. They have no source of income but for goodwill. Their grand mother is 75 years old and suffers frequently from backaches and cough.
Caroline Yainkain Kanu

Caroline has the desire to learn, but she is poorly financed, lacks school materials. She lives in a home built of zinc sheets with no water, no electricity. Her family has been affected by the war. Her mother is a petty trader and her father is a janitor / cleaner. Favorite subjects: Religious and moral Education, English, Social Studies.
Hobbies: Reading, singing and cooking, watching movies
Jerry Yakong
Details:
Jerry speaks but cannot write English well. he would like to become a Tailor. Jerry has one brother and a sister. They all live with their grand parents in their makeshift two room house. They share the house with their younger cousins who sleep in the same room they cook in.
Jerry’s mother Glory Malah being HIV/AIDS infected is increasingly becoming incapable of providing Jerry with basic educational and livelihood needs. She barely gets her therapy through the sale of some farm produce.
Glory Malah is an HIV/AIDS infected patient, though on therapy is increasingly becoming incapable of taking care of Jerry.
Highly desperate situation, which needs assistance for schooling, medical care and nutrition.

A very brilliant and promising child, but the effect of the war on the family makes it very difficult for the father to provide for all the children. Ruth wants to be a Secretary. Father is a janitor / cleaner and mother is a petty trader. Favorite subjects: Maths, ESPS, French. Hobbies: Singing
Nelson Njonyu
Details:
Nelson and his elder cousin Brain up to December 5th 2007, was living with his 74 year old Grand father. Unfortunately he died of liver disease on 5 December 2007. Presently he is staying with his 68 year old grand mother who is also ill. They live in an old corrugated sheet roofed house which the grand father had built. With no finances and the failing heath of the grandmother, Nelson and the cousin’s education were suspended this second term and he is not sure when his fees shall be taken care of for him to continue. Nutrition wise, they hardly can afford two meals a day.
Any support shall provide a lot of hope to this family. Highly desperate situation, which needs assistance for schooling, Medicare and nutrition.

The family lives in a two room rented house which the father finds very difficult meeting the rents. With a poor income from peasant farming they cannot afford health care, nutrition and education for the children. They fetch water from a stream. Their house has no electricity often very cold and dark.
Nutrition wise, they hardly can afford two meals a day and she is often sent out of school for non-payment of fees and materials. Presently, out of five, the family can only afford sending one to school. Any support shall provide a lot of hope to this family

He had retarded growth and speech problems. He has difficulties handling something. He is physically disabled and frequently suffers from stomach problems and looks weak.
Zidan lives with his grandmother and two aunts in a three room house is zinc sheet house and have electricity. They carry water from a nearby stream. He attends school erratically due to non payment of fees. They barely survive as food is concern.
Any support shall be very helpful to Zidan’s future.

My grandparents are not gainfully employed and are not able to provide 2 full meals a day. I live in a mud house with no running water or electricity. Emelda Nkini

Emelda’s family live in a two room mud house. It is not cemented, wet and cold. They have one bed and no other furniture in the house; no electricity so are in darkness as from 6 pm.They nave a grass kitchen. They fetch water from a running stream in a forest about 1 km away from the house.
To ameliorate their living condition, Emelda, two of her brothers, Wepnje (10 years) and Clovis (8 years) sell for a woman and other traders on market days for a day’s wage. These children thus suffer from child labor and exploitation.
